Lee began photographing at the tender age of 18. Although Lee and his team are highly in demand for his freelance work, successfully being booked to work with major organisations, Sainsbury’s the BBC and the National Trust to name a few. It’s his enthusiasm for shooting weddings that strikes him apart. Recently, Lee was critically acclaimed by a leader within the field who said. “It is Lee’s enthusiasm that has allowed him to pursue his own personal contemporary documentary wedding style, which is very quickly marking him as ‘one to watch”.
Taking his inspiration from many of the classic contemporaries, Lee lives to photograph weddings and sees it as a privilege and honour to be involved in such an intimate day. He says “I simply want my pictures to tell the true story of the wedding day, no fuss, just my clients, their families and their true emotions, trust is the absolute key”.
With his characteristic variety of mood and tone so evident in his work, Lee’s wedding photographs organically combine the sensitivity and vulnerability of his subjects with his ability to bring out their often uninhibited and natural personalities. Be it a portrait for a national editorial or the capture of a spontaneous moment. Lee will ensure that your day will always be remembered.
Lee’s photographic style, coupled with his unique sense of humour, honesty and demand for perfection is growing meteorically. A published author, seminar leader and true professional “It is in Lee’s photographical work that his personality and character emerge. His images are a triumph of what is seen over what is not. Rather, by what is said. His sought after images ultimately, reveal the warmth and humanity of someone whose work is his life-long passion…”
It is worth noting that due to his rising profile and international commitments, Lee and his team only able to accept 20 private wedding dates for his wedding calendar during 2010, with Lee’s services highly in demand.
lee photos are focus on different angles and using contrast on colour. i have notice that he combinds the mood and diamenion to get the effect of the theme that he wanted. i have chosen some of his photos that i like and will explain what things i thought work well.
with this first one i like how he has blended the colour with the sky and the sand, the contrast on the board has shown the detail of the logos and divide the photo into two.i like that he has shown the shadows as the main feature that shows the full body to the surfer, he has given a different propective to the image as the the idea was the main focus is the surfboard and not the model.
with this one i like how he captures the fire and has got different texture of colour in the flames that make you feel warm while looking at it. has has put the iso quite high to give that grainny look to make the texture of the coal look more roughness in it.
agian with the first one he wanted to capture the object and not the model, the dress has shapes and colour that captures your eye with different shadings and texture on the dress that just pull your attention to it. i love that the image is bright and with a cool mood to it, with the angle shot just finish the image quite well and cropping it just at the elbows just put you straight to the main focus of this shoot.
this one is the same as above but brought back to show more of the background theme, its metal frame help shines the light nicely which gives diffrerent tones and shading.i love that he has played with the light by using reflective materials and dark backgrounds to get what he wanted.
i love how the colour is stricking in this image how bright and vibrent it just captures your eye. he has made the image look a more cartooney look which gave that affect of fantasy style. the green bushes were blured out to get that oil painting look and the sky is more blue than normal.
this picture was a great image that i think he done as he has use the colours wonderfuly in this one. the sky was bright with the blue as i think he enhance it again to be more vibrient and her dress is a bright red which great to divide the image with the model and the background. he has angle the shot under her to make it look that she is quite high up and the rock she on has a great detail of realness to it.
he has captured the the expressions of the model very well were she looks sweet and enercent with every shot but he never make the model just the main focus but the whole image has something to attract you to. i loved that he has framed images behind her that you can see of the ocean, it just you that mood and theme of the shoot. the objects in the image help give that 3 dimentional look and gave depth the image. he has use alot of ideas and intrest in this image to get what he wanted.
this was good how he uses the shapes and curves of the street in this image, it was the background that attracted me more of how it rolls round and the detail of the concrete floor and walls that you can see the all the grain in there. again in this image the model is not the main feature but the whole thing is, with my image this what i wanted to acheive in some of my images is to play with the colours and background to make your eyes wonder at the whole image and make you look twice in what in front of you.
in this one i love the effect with the tiles that make that illustion of that the model is coming out of the image. he has angled the the shoot to give this effect again but using the same colour and lighting to her side gave that look of dimention to it including i love how he made her look up at him so it looks like she is small and she looking up to us.
with all with lee image they have amazed me that using colour and getting to use the background to your advantage does give that effect im looking for in my images incuding again i love capturing the colour, the shadows and shades to give that look of real life image into and peace of art . making the colour more vibreint and sharpe including angling the shot to give the depth and diamesion. i want people to get lost in my images and get people to look twice on what is going on including getting people to catch things that they didnt see when they first look at my images.

Hi
ReplyDeleteYou have been performing well with good analysis of the images you are looking at. This will raise the level of the grade that you will achieve.
The research images you look at you now need to compare and contrast to your own work to show how what you have studied has started to appear in your own photography.
Steve
