PRESENTATION AND HOW I WILL PROMOTE MY WORK
PRESENTATION AND HOW I WILL PROMOTE THEM
The presentation that o be using will be 3 types that i think will benefit my work.
INTERNET
first thing will be presenting it through the Internet as a digital portfolio that everyone can view where ever there are in the country. the idea is to provide your service by people searching for you and can view your work before contacting yourself to sort out a booking with you. its a cost affective way without using any paper portfolio and traveling around for people to see your images before they decide to provide a service for them. its a great advertising way with google engine to view your images and they can click on it to veiw which then tranfer you to my website.
so as you can see once you click on it you see my blogger.
including using other sharing sites and links with other website with your name on it puts you up on the search engine list which help when people are looking up on you.
as you can see website portfolio can be a great way to premote yourself and get the publituty which is world wide and including how technology is increasin the new way to view my work and easy to carry is a ipad!.
this shows that internet can be a great presentation to my work and can be a great process to proceed to growing my carrer in photography.
Gallery
when orgenising a gallery for my images i want to make sure my images are the main focus, so first up i be looking into, is the fabric and materal of my images. the first thing is that i would make them A3 size so that you get a clear detail of the colours and texure within my images. the materals i be looking at to make my images on will be:
canvas
frame box
acrylic
Canvas
first one i be going through is the canvas design which is the basic but effective way to present your images. they print and over enlarge your image before applying a canvas effect seal to the surface. then they wrap your print over a 2 or 3 inch block to produce a three dimensional finish which is great to bring out my images to the viewer.
Box frame
Simple yet elegant best describes the Box Frame effect. It has become an alternative to the Canvas Wrap where the customers likes the ‘off the wall’ look but prefers to keep all of the image tucked neatly into the frame moulding. There are five natural frame mouldings to choose from, Dark Brown, Black Wash, White Wash, Bare Ash Wood and Pine. the white wash would be my selection as it will blend in to the wall and give a depth of the images.
acrylic
This features a single print encapsulated with total optical clarity between two clear sheets, giving an overall thickness of 13mm. It really is pure elegance and will give a vibreint finish to the bright colours of my images.
with the gallery itself, i be making it pure white with spot lights so that nothing is making any focus about except my images that is on view. the area must be big and space free so that the viewer can stand back so that they can take all the images and then feel that they are being suck in to them.
this is a good excemple of how i like to view my images in and having somewhere is more less daylight but with spotlights to bring them out more better for the colours.
media and magazine production
i have already used this tipe of presentating my work with my project with specsavers and has been a big presentation and start to my work but i want to look into magizines and one i want to target to start is midland zone. as it does lots of photos for the local midland scene with shots from all bars and there aways looking for images to put in from recent events and when the festivals start so i be looking into this to see what i can do to get this
magizines is a great way to get your work out as midland zone is a free magizine that people can grab, so over million of people read this mag and seeing my work in there will premote me and my work very well.i have already got contacts as im am part of the leicester pride commity and including this years event i be hopefuly taking photos then for them.

choosing my final images
These are my final images that i be using. i have selected these ones because they were the most eye catching in colour and detail within these images. within all of the images there are all done by using only the ambient light and very little flash to get what i want by not drowning out the colours within the lights. i have only minimal adjustments with all of these images by just cropping them by 420mm x 297mm (A3) size with 300 pixels. the are 3 projects that i done and will explain why i chosen
these ones.
Halloween
Halloween is a great portrait photography that i taken at blush and the idea is to take images of people impressions and getting them into theme of the costumes what there wearing. the colour is bright but keeps with the dark effect of the horror theme i wanted in these images. the expression that i got on the people was striking and you could see there mood they where in and keeping into character with every shot that i done.
Fun fair
Fun fair is reportage photography and with the rides i wanted to show fast, fun and striking look of the rides. i be able to play with the shutter speed and gain that blurred look that makes the ride look fast and put movement within the image. i love how the colours gave the theme that i wanted and the smoke helped give that texture and gloomy effect for the ghost train.
Da Glacia
Da Glacia is another reportage photography and with this one is focus on the detail and colour of the stage and performers. the idea of getting different colours and getting them not to mix together but marge gradually to get that special effect. Da glacia is a more deep emolisonal peace that i love about it.
it is a difficult choice as all of them are so different but the same in what i love in taking photography and my two themes are "portrait and people" and "reportage" photography. to help with my choice of my final images, i be looking into what will fit into which theme unit and its greatness about the images, the detail and what would it be like for presentation to the public.
THEMES
first thing i wanted to look at is which images suited for which theme.
portrait and people
with portrait and people, the theme is the focus on peoples faces and expressions that is captured with every shot. the details and texture on people faces and upper body area giving them more focus on them then whats in the background.
reportage
reportage is on the focus on lots of people and locations including showing the theme and abmosphia of the event. the main focus is not just the people but the background and the active areas of the image.
summery
with Halloween, its is focus definitely on the people and there expressions making it less with the background given the portrait (focus) more on them then whats in the background. with the funfair its is more for the reportage as there is more focus on not just the people but more on the objects or rides there on and the images are more active so there is alot going on. with the last images Da Glacia is mostly for both as it shows people and the reportage of the lights and whats going on around them.
PRESENTATION AND MEDIA
Halloween
Halloween is centred on the night life public, giving out advertisement in to my photography and the venue it was done. the best option to display my images for the scene it is showing, is by presenting posters, website portfolios and magazines advertisement. This photography targets more for the local public that are more into the night life including that when doing this tipe of photography it sales itself by taking photos of the public having a great time and giving out memory's of the night. a great way to sale your images is letting them have print outs on the night including key rings. the new modern way is having them displayed on projector screens or any advertisement screens while through the night so that people would love to have your photo taken to see it on the big screen. DJ and local bands or gigs would like to show there styles and there work with the art of photography and using it as advertisement for them self but with it showing your images to the venues and business side to progress in more shots for other company's. this gives a great circle within the night life and progress with getting your images shown and brought to the public and present your work in that sector. the other ways to present my work is in magazines, which i have look at many night life images to let there readers see what happening with the inside of local bars and clubs.
as you can see, all images are displayed of the events what is going on with the photographers name on the side. with including that local venues want images for advertisement for events which is great in to looking into graphics and photoshopping to get the effect they want as you can see on the left. this was taken from a magizine called midland zone which features lots of photos of local scenes for people to view in there.
fun fair
alot of images to present them in meetings and can be viewed on a bigger screen or projector to show people with. Internet is a great way to present your work as you just can view most of them on google images or can put on face book and tweeter. the Internet provides information of myself if people wanted to book myself for any event and can view the work before hand.
there are many ways the present my work and with these images gallery's and Internet is the great way to show the world of my work.
Da Glacia
Da glacia is mostly in preforming art photography, so the audience is on people that are interested on preforming arts, music, dance. so to present my images there are several ways this can be carried out.
first one can be done through the media, by magazines, preforming arts or dance. like my last comment on night life most magazines love to present things through photography, so that people can see want is going on and compares with the writers words and research for readers can guide through what they are reading. 2nd i would present my work is at galleries that show them in a area that is well lit and making the white walls so that the images colours are not drowned out by the area and having the boarder frame white, like my funfair ones there vibrient colours, so having dark boarders just make it look to dark in the images and drown out the edges of the picture.
i have viewed different ways to present my work in a experdition and one way i found would look great for my images was this picture above. as you can see all my images are vibrant bright colours so having them using white lights on a white wall is going to bring them out and catch people eyes including putting them as canvas will bring them out.
FINAL DECISION
on final images
The 2 themes that i have decided is
HALLOWEEN
FUN FAIR
the reason is that i decided these two themes because that with Halloween, i wanted to do event photography and taking photos of the people, the atmoshere and the lights is what i like taking.
with taking photography in events there is a lot of opportunities to take photos for any one who wants to capture a memory of a event. including the industries of night club and local night club magazines are always looking into photographers to take great shot of event in the venues.
with funfair, i love to take images of action shots and movement of lighting, using shutter speed to get the shot i want and the colours, seeing the fun and joy from the rides.
with these two themes, there part to what i like doing and the presentation to let public and audience i want is the part i want to be involved in. with the nightlife and fun based job my photography does goes with what i would like to project to everyone.

da glacia
Da Glaica, fantastic circus performers that just take your breath away. i was at my work Christmas due in Nottingham which was a great night and i taken over 800 photos for them. out through the night i have captured some great shots from the performers that was so eye catching with there costumes and the lights, it was a great chance to capture this. i have selected the best 10 to show what i done and explain how i captured them in there amazing show there was giving to us.
Equipment: i used the same equipment as i been with from the start but manage to find better settings for low light areas. i used a D3000 nikon camrea with a 18-55mm lens and to steady my shot i just balanced the camrea on the side of a pillar in the event.
Health and Safety: with taking these photos i had to stay well clear of the preformers but not to far so i can get a good shot. so the stage was higher plateform, i prosition myself on the lower part so that im safe away form the main stage but very close to take the shots.
my main arm: to take photos with all colour and expressions of the proformers while not getting the shot blured from all the movement.
it was amazing on how they preformed with the smoke and lights. the lighting gave the right mood and gave that feel of fire in there. the lighting re flexed on the performers to give there shading and shape on there white cloths, the beam of light was my favorite in this image as there was lot crossing each other that the smoke captured nicely to give that effect. i wanted to capture every movement and pose in my images, so that i capture that special look they give with expressions and the moving essence in there that they wanted to show. with all the images i didnt use my flash but the lights that was given me so that you see all the colour and smake within the images, if i did use my flash it would drown out the colour and would not get that effect that you see now. with my ISO i wanted it not to be grainy so i put the ISO to 800 which cleared the image much better than on HI 1 as it did look very grainy. i tried to push it down to 400 but it started to look too dark and you couldnt see any detail within the image. The f stop is on the widest so the it can capture all the ambient like and shutter speed is on 1/30 so that it can capyure the smaoke within the background. with the photos below i was stuned on how wonderful the texture and colour that it came out to be and able to put down the ISO to make it less grainy like my last photos i tried to take in the past.
it was a great sucess and i managed to capture what i wanted in all of these images and now i feel that i am now on the road to what i wanted to acheive in low light photography and reportage photography.
